A Note on the Restoration and my Generation (Generation X)
We will see the Promised Land, and inhabit and possess it, but we will not be able to settle down in it and enjoy it in peace. We will be dead before the Church (much less society) is renewed.
The evil generation walked 40 years in the desert and did not see the Promised Land. What did their kids see? They saw war, death, and destruction as they labored to carry out God's will and do what their parents' generation should have done in the first place.
But they did get into the Promised Land
They just didn't get to enjoy it as much as the next generation, because they were too busy cleaning up the mess left by their parents' generation's abandonment of God.
Your children shall wander in the desert forty years, and shall bear your fornication, until the carcasses of their fathers be consumed in the desert. - Numbers 14:33
